Open House
I submitted one of my favorite works to open house, Propaganda 1-6. While it's not the most skillfully created set of works, I still like them. They ended up in the Carol Schlosberg Alumni Gallery. Other pieces of my work hung in the third floor illustration display, and the third floor painting display were Flower Puff, Pheasant, and my purple Birds of Prey.
Interview!
A few students at my college interviewed me for a videography class of theirs. It was rather a surprise interview. I found a strange note in my studio one day, and contacted them, not really knowing what to expect. This is the result. Thanks to Megan DeBlois, Stephanie Gravel, Liz Loyte and Shaundra Shattuck for sending me the link to the finished product!
And it seems that the camera really does add 50 pounds!

Another exciting event happening at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly MA is Open House, April 17th from 1-5pm. Public welcome, it's a time to see what Montserratians are up to, as student work is showcased from the roof to the basement. Visit the 301 building where seniors' work is in progress as well as displayed in studios and in the fabulous 301 gallery. Even the main gallery inside the Hardie Building will be showcasing student work in a traditional Academy style, floor to ceiling. Visit for more details.

Consider this a Comic in Motion
So I have decided to create a rather fine-artsy type of thing. A "Comic in Motion". His name is Potty McTrollkins and he is my facebook account. While I really created him because I was threatened with bad things if I didn't make a facebook to keep up with my gallery group, people can interact with Potty as Potty. His girlfriend's name is Phyllis (a special thanks to my boyfriend for this name), and she's a plunger. A cast of characters will be created for his album as soon as I can get around being forced to download the uploader.

Bird Crazy
Anyone who knows me, knows that I love birds. I love how they look, how they act, their ability to fly (well, I'm more just jealous of that). On occasion, I go on bird painting sprees. Last semester was one of those times. This is a small sampling of the paintings I created last semester (I apologize for the low resolution. Once my camera is repaired I'll fix that).
Enjoy!

Today's Special
Today's post is about show at the 301 Gallery at Montserrat College of Art (301 Cabot St. Beverly MA). The show, titled "All Dolled Up" was a collaboration of illustrators including seniors Erica (Blue) Allard, Emilee McGlory, Meghan Hawkes, Chris Parent, Chris Thibodeau, Danielle Smith, and Justine Fitzgerald Yandle.
The show was well organized with a delicate sewn thread theme running behind all of the pieces. There was a variety of works including illustrations in the traditional sense, print making, photography, and video work. They deserve a hand for a job well done.

New site
Did you all know that through Google you can make websites? I wasn't aware of this. not until now at least. And if you had a domain name, you could direct the google site to be at the domain name? Well, all of this fancy newfangled stuff is fancy. I've been constantly toying with this monstrosity. I decided to start from scratch, no premade template, and so far I have recreated this site twice. . . three times. . . something like that. I haven't yet decided what I want to do with it, but when I do, well, I'm sure I'll post something about it.

Some minor changes
So I've been fooling around with my blogs perhaps a bit more than I should be. I created a place specifically for my illustrations, added a header image, and added links to the side bar, including the link to my illustration blog, several friends, and useful contacts.
Please visit these lovely links and enjoy your time there!
